Meet the new SEAT Leon Cupra

This is a leaked image of Spanish automaker SEAT’s soon to be released Leon Cupra. The new car’s dramatic styling hint at the performance levels that this little runabout can offer – we’re looking at 240 hp (179 kW) from the 2.0-litre turbo FSI, good for 6.4 seconds in the 0 – 62 mph dash.

Large air intakes in the front bar together with the huge oval shaped exhaust pipe in the rear diffuser emphasize the turbo mill’s potential. The interior is equally sporty, race-style bucket seats are emblazoned with the Cupra logo. Expect the car to be officially launched in early August.
