Not that the world needed yet another variant for the A4, but Audi is planning to build a sportback version of their popular mid-size saloon. Rumors about this have been around for some time now, and the German magazine Autobild has produced the rendering above to give you an idea of what it’ll look like.

The A4 Sportback is aimed at older buyers that have grown out of the A3 Sportback, but don’t quite want a wagon yet. There’s no word on whether this variant is actually being built, but we wouldn’t expect it till mid to late next year at the earliest.
