Due to demand from Asian markets, where many 5-series cars are used as chauffeur driven limos, BMW is building a long-wheelbase version of the popular mid-sized sedan. Pictured above is a stretched version which was caught testing in Munich and adds roughly five inches to the standard 5-series sedan.

The new vehicle will compete with a long-wheelbase version of the Audi A6 that’s already being sold in China and the middle-east. The BMW will make an official launch by the end of this year but no word on whether it will be sold in markets outside of the middle-east and Asia.
