The police over in Wiltshire Constabulary, UK, will be adding a Lexus GS 450h to their fleet in an attempt to incorporate more enviro friendly vehicles. Last year a Lexus RX 400h was trialled by Hampshire Police, but the Wiltshire squad required a little performance so they opted for the GS 450h.

Its presence can serve both as a deterrent as well providing a high-performance vehicle for chasing crims. Packing a 3.5-litre V6 petrol in conjunction with a high output electric motor, the combined powerplant develops 341hp (255kW), which accelerates the GS from 0-62mph in less than 6 seconds.
