Turns out that the reputation most supercar owners have of being bad drivers is actually true in some cases. Witness Tommy Sharif of Norway, who became the second person in the country to own a Koenigsegg, in his case a brand new CCX worth over $1 million. Sharif took the car out in front of a crowd for his first drive and underestimated how powerful it was. Pretty soon, the car started swerving from side to side and he lost all control.

After spinning a few times, the supercar landed in the sand to the side of the track. Onlookers then had to dig and tow the car back out. After the incident, Sharif admitted it wasn’t a very smart thing to do and said he’d take more care in the future. Luckily, there was no significant damage to the car, only to his ego.
