Spy Shots: Mitsubishi Lancer sports edition

This isn’t an image of another Mitsubishi Evo test mule; it’s actually the next generation Lancer sedan undergoing brake testing in Austria. The sporty looking front bumper plus the performance wheel and brake package suggest that this could be a high performance version of the Lancer.

On closer inspection, we can see that the bright red brake callipers are actually high-end Brembos. Another feature that alludes to its sporting nature is the dual exhaust pipes. The new Lancer, which has undergone a complete redesign, will be more upscale than the current version, but we’ll have to wait until 2007 to see the final version.
