New images of a mysterious coupe that resembles the Lexus LF-A concept, which was displayed at the Detroit Auto Show in January last year as a concept, have been caught by spy photographers circling the Nürburgring race track. From these images it appears that the car is significantly different to the concept car, with headlights that are much larger, and reach back up along the fenders. The new front bar looks more aggressive and does not feature the centre intake as seen on the concept.

We see larger side intakes that now reach further up the doors just in front of the rear wheels that will feed cool air into the rumoured 5L 500hp V10 that may come in with a hybrid option. The rear of the car sticks with the triple exhaust pipe pattern sitting centre of the rear diffuser, and the massive rear-wing is for test only purposes but we suspect production versions will feature an electronically adjustable unit that will sit lower than the one pictured.

Despite the numerous prototypes that have been caught, Lexus is still adamantly denying the possibility of such a car. If built, the vehicle won’t be in showrooms until at least the end of 2008 with pricing around $100,000 mark.
