Video: Richard Hammond’s 288mph crash

Here’s the actual video footage taken by the Top Gear crew of last year’s 288mph jet car crash by presenter Richard Hammond. The video first aired on the BBC channel during the first episode of the show’s new season. It’s incredible 36-year old Hammond made it out of this one alive.

Now that the footage has been shown, reports are starting to emerge claiming Hammond is actually to blame for the near-fatal crash. The Sun newspaper reports that the owner of the dragster, Colin Fallows, is accusing Hammond of negligence, stating the BBC presenter ignored a tire puncture and carried on with it deflated causing it to explode. Co-host Clarkson is backing Hammond saying that there’s no way he could have known what was wrong at the time.

  1. I think he has been extremely lucky! It is easy now to look it over and laugh about it...
