One of Germany’s oldest car tuners, the Kempten based ABT Sportsline, a specialist in modifying
Audis, has released a new performance package for the TT coupe. The technicians have boosted the power of the standard 2.0L Turbo FSI engine with up to an additional 100hp, with the most powerful 2.0L version now outputting a mighty 300hp (221 kW). The tuned TT does the 0-100km/h sprint in a brief 5.5seconds all the way to a top speed of 256km/h. An even higher-performance model equipped with the VR6 3.2L mill and a supercharger kit outputs an impressive 310hp (228 kW). A less powerful entry-level model with 240hp (177kW) is also available as well as mid-range version with 270hp.
Abt Sportsline has developed special body styling parts to give the TT a racer look. These aero parts include a rear wing, side skirts, revised front and rear bumpers as well as a twin-pipe rear muffler and diffuser. The area around the fog lights and single-frame grill is highlighted by the front skirt, giving the Abt TT a more aggressive front-end. To round off the overall design, Abt Sportsline has included several wheel combos ranging from 19 to 20in with 255 sized rubber.
The company is heavily involved with the German Touring Car Championship and in 2006 it was the official
Audi works team in the DTM and clinched the third and fourth position in the overall standings.
