A motoring research team funded by former Top Gear presenter Peter Burgess has picked Ferrari’s Enzo as the world's most iconic supercar in the Zurich Iconic Car Index. The Enzo beat out a field of 100 cars, and was picked via a sophisticated formula that weighted factors including price, performance, engine power and marque. It even beat Bugatti’s Veyron, the most expensive and fastest car on the list.

The list was compiled for the Zurich Private Clients insurance company to better understand what type of vehicles the world’s super-rich are buying. CEO Nick Brabham said "the Iconic Car Index provides a fascinating insight into what the world’s most affluent people may consider buying if they’re after the ultimate drive.
