Trident Performance Vehicles in the UK will attempt to drive one of its recently launched V8-powered Iceni bio-diesel supercars across Europe in an effort to cover more than 1,000 miles on a single 100L tank of fuel. The car will start on the 17th of this month in Norwich, UK, and hopefully end up in Monaco just in time for the Top Marques International Motor Show, which kicks off on the 19th.

At exactly 11:00 Trident Sales Director and former racing driver Kelly Bevan and motoring journalist Suzannah Sorrell will set off on the journey and are expected in Monaco roughly 2 days later where they will complete a maiden lap of the famous Monaco Grand Prix Circuit.

The car in question is the Iceni, a 6.6L V8 two-seater sports car, designed, developed and manufactured by Trident in the UK. Its makers claim the Iceni is capable of reaching 60mph from rest in just 3.9 seconds and has a limited top speed of 170mph. When driven at a constant speed of 170mph, the oil-burning supercar achieves an amazing mileage rate of 70mpg making it one of the most fuel efficient sports cars available today.
