Following the leak of several images of the facelifted Saab 9-3 yesterday, the guys over at km77.com have now published a full set of new images minus those pesky watermarks. Due to go on sale in the second half of the year, the 2008 model Saab 9-3 comes with a refreshed look and an upgraded mechanical package.

Marking the biggest changes is the introduction of a new E85 BioPower engine as well as a new AWD version complete with an electronic differential. The new diff is said to be better suited at distributing force during slides and contributes to stabilizing the car around corners.

The new 9-3 once again shares much in common with its Opel Vectra and Cadillac BLS siblings thanks to its General Motors’ roots and Epsilon platform design. The next generation model is expected to benefit from the latest Epsilon 2 architecture, which will also spawn the next-gen Opel Vectra due early next year.
