BMW’s been testing its next-generation 3-Series in public for over a year. Today, though, we have the first set of spy shots of the high-performance M3 model. The car is once again expected to pack a twin-turbo inline-6, but we hear output could be dialled up as high as 500 horsepower.

Chevrolet over the weekend pulled a surprise reveal of its next-generation Silverado 1500. Due for the 2019 model year, the pickup truck features revised styling, but unfortunately that’s all we know about it because Chevy is saving the details for next month’s official debut in Detroit.

Toyota has announced wide-ranging electrification plans that include 10 battery-powered electric cars to be introduced early next decade. Interestingly, Toyota confirmed that it is developing next-generation solid-state batteries which promise much more range than what’s currently possible.
