The last car ever to be produced at Aston Martin’s historic Newport Pagnell plant has rolled off the production line today; a V12 Vanquish coupe that marks the end of more than fifty years of production at the Buckinghamshire site.

The Vanquish was the poster child for Aston Martin over the past decade and the ending of its production plus the closing of Newport Pagnell is the end of an era for the luxury marque. The site is to be sold and will be likely turned into offices and houses.

Production is being moved to its newer and far more modern Gaydon facility at Warwickshire, which is also responsible for building Jaguars and Land Rovers as well as being home to the British Motor Heritage Centre.
