At next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show Volkswagen will be presenting more than fifty different models, eight of which will be making their world debuts. The newcomers on VW’s stands will be the new
Tiguan SUV, six new economical BlueMotion models and a rear-engined minicar concept.
CEO Martin Winterkorn has previously stated that VW would produce a new model positioned below the Fox
hatchback and that it would have space for “four people and their luggage.” If given the
green light, expect the car to cost around €5,000 in Europe and even less in developing markets.
With the debut of six additional BlueMotion models at the Frankfurt Show, VW’s tally of the super-efficient models will now be up to nine cars. Unfortunately, there was no mention if VW’s
hybrid system it co-developed with
Porsche will be making a showing.
