Its not often you see a Porsche sent to the scrap yard, let alone a brand new 997 model. Some genius decided it was a good idea to see what a 911 would look like as it was being crushed, and was even kind enough to put a camera inside to give us an insider view of being cubed.
It's in German, and I speak German.
What it basically is saying is that a car is more than just it's components of steel, glass and plastic, but also of oil, gasoline, coolant and lastly, windshield washer fluid (which is the bottle at the end).
It's about the regeneration of these things into something new, such as the modern art it has become.
Still, the car lover in each of us here winces at this display...

all forms that perish other forms supply
by turns we catch the vital breath, and die
like bubbles in the sea of matter borne
they rise, they break, and to that sea return

Goldfinger
He's the man, the man with the Midas touch
A spider's touch
Such a cold finger
Beckons you to enter his web of sin
But don't go in
Golden words he will pour in your ear
But his lies can't disguise what you fear
For a golden girl knows when he's kissed her
It's the kiss of death ...
From Mister Goldfinger
Pretty girl, beware of his heart of gold
This heart is cold
Golden words he will pour in your ear
But his lies can't disguise what you fear
For a golden girl knows when he's kissed her
It's the kiss of death ...
From Mister Goldfinger
Pretty girl, beware of his heart of gold
This heart is cold
He loves only gold
Only gold
He loves gold
He loves only gold
Only gold
He loves gold

This is what happens when to the loser of a Ferrari and Porsche race to the finish that is funded by Michael Vic!
How many went before this one. We will never really know.

Needless waste. $90,000 out the window for nothing. What joy is this car bringing to anyone now? I wish I'd been there to push him into the crusher with the car.

One less ton of polluting, consuming, killing on the road.
Recycled as a work of art ? Making a point about our current dependance on wars to fuel our automotive extravagance ?
Millions of people have died, and continue to do so, all over the world, to feed these machines, and it's not going to stop 'til we say so. Why ?
So you can go shopping ? ( use the bus system, or a taxi - it's cheaper than a car )
Exercise your right to get from A to B ? ( i use my legs, public transport, or a bicycle )
Show off ? ( buy an iPhone)
If you have too much money - give it to your favourite charity.
do not waste it on a car - you don't need a car. Cars suck ass. And they kill people.
( yes, 800kg of overpriced designer crap at 30kmh kills people - usually children )
Now you know what non-car fanatics think.

That makes me want to cry! They just crushed my dream car. Why couldn't they crush my 2001 Lexus and let me have the Porsche? It would look about the same in cube form.

Homer: Here are you messages. You have 30 minutes to move your car. You have 10 minutes. Your car has impounded. You car has been crushed into a cube. You have 30 minutes to move your cube.

There ought to be a law. Though "Shirley Bassey" did bring up the good example of Goldfinger - they crushed a brand new Lincoln Continental in that film.
