Two of Germany’s most extreme sports cars come head-to-head in this latest video comparo from Auto Motor und Sport. In one corner is the recently launched E92 M3 Coupe and in the other is Porsche’s track focused GT3. Pity the video is German but there’s plenty of driving action to make it a worthwhile watch.

Video after the jump.

  1. Some big point translations:
The Porsche has exciting styling compared to the M3.
It wieghs less and is faster.
However, the M3 is easier to drive, but when pushed by a hard hand, the Porsche can outrun it every day.
The Porsche is race car through and through, the M3 much more practical.
The M3 has wonderful manners, perfect in corners, but eventually a bit boring.
Even thought the Porsche is harder to drive, it puts a big smile on the drivers face. It is not a practical car, but that's what the Carrera is for.
The M3 costs about 60k Euro less, and has much better warranty and practicality, and therefore it wins this comparison, but the Porsche will always win the hearts of drivers everywhere.

  2. Just felt it is not a fair comparison.

Should have compare BMW M3 vs. Porsche 911.

And future BMW M3 CSL vs Porsche 911 GT3.

    Anyway, nice video.
