During the early 1980s Audi was a leader in rallying because of its then revolutionary quattro AWD system. The car everybody was talking about was the Audi Sport quattro S1, a 2.1L five-cylinder rocket with 600hp and 435ft.-lbs of torque driving all four wheels via a six-speed gearbox. This is also the car that Walter Röhrl won the famous Pikes Peak Hill Climb on his debut 20 years ago, which you can read about by clicking here. Otherwise click ahead for the video.
