BMW’s 1-series coupe is still the new kid on the block but its twin-turbo straight six is an engine most reputable tuners in Germany will be familiar with. AC Schnitzer, the company founded in Aachen in 1987, has created a new performance package for the BMW coupe.

The new kit includes a full bodykit and grille, with a front spoiler, rear skirt, rear wing and roof spoiler. For the front spoiler elements, AC Schnitzer supplies aluminum struts as used in motorsport, while at the back sits an integrated diffuser and racing tailpipe.

Handling is improved with a sports suspension and front strut brace.

The engine now develops 360hp (265kW) instead of 306hp (225kW), which sees the car accelerate to 100km/h in less than five seconds. At the same time, the maximum torque rises from 400 to 450Nm and the top speed from 250 to an impressive 300km/h.
