Most enthusiasts would be well aware of the Porsche 911 Turbo’s astonishing performance, but if you want to squeeze more out of the iconic coupe, German tuner Gemballa has come to the rescue with its latest GTR 800 EVO-R upgrade. Modifications to the car include the new front-end styling, making it look more like the Carrera GT supercar than the 911 on which it’s based, as well as the vented front bonnet, new lower lip, GT headlights, revised rear bumper and dual-wing carbon spoiler.

Matching the car’s dramatic styling is the supercar-rivaling 850hp and 935Nm of torque output. To achieve such high amounts of power, twin modified Garret T035 turbochargers replace the stock units. These turbos combine with GT3-R heads, a machined crank and special connecting rods which increase the engine capacity to 3.8L.

Huge 19in Yokohama AVS Sport tires are fitted to the car to maximize grip levels but to fit them, and their three-piece alloy wheels, Gemballa needed to enlarge both the front and rear wheel arches. During the process additional inches are added to the width of the car, giving it its menacing stance.

Additional rigidity is introduced into the suspension of the GTR 800. Stronger bushings are used throughout, with H&R coilovers all around. The set-up also features height adjustable springs as well as three position anti-roll bars and geometry settings.
