On the eve of the upcoming Geneva Motor Show KTM has announced that its X-Bow roadster is finally ready for production but unfortunately almost every car has been accounted for. Eager buyers had put down deposits for the lightweight track-special as far back as last year’s Geneva Show and this was without any knowledge of the car’s final price.
A few months later KTM boss Stefan Pierer hinted that the X-Bow would be priced around the €50,000 unit mark and today
AutoBild is reporting that final pricing will be set at €54,561. For this money, buyers will get a two-seater roadster weighing just 700kg and powered by a 240hp 2.0L TFSI engine. It appears the previously reported 300hp output will be reserved for a more expensive model due next year.
Still, the new X-Bow will be able to accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 240km/h. KTM will also unveil a special limited edition ‘
Dallara Series’ at next month’s Geneva Show to celebrate the start of production of the new roadster. The Dallara cars will get a unique pearl white paint scheme and will be limited to just 100 units. Officials expect to build up to 1,000 units of the regular X-Bow per year.
