One of the best aspects of Pagani’s Zonda supercar is its AMG-sourced 7.3L V12 powerplant, but with production of the current car expected to end within the next 12 months officials are now looking towards its successor. Previous reports claim the new model, codenamed C9, will sport a smaller and lighter V8 powerplant also sourced from Mercedes-Benz. This has led many to speculate the engine could be the same supercharged unit from the SLR McLaren.
A new video of a Pagani test-mule with a noticeably quieter exhaust system has emerged, showcasing a Zonda without its trademark high-mount quad exhaust tips. Another reason that backs the SLR engine theory is rumors the McLaren-built supercar will be going out of production within a year, however there’s no official word yet from Mercedes-Benz.
Whatever they push into this chassis, V8 or V12. In my opinion it is the best chassis for a Merc engine.

Everything you would expect from an Italian super car manufacturer. Its amazing how right out of the gate they have been successful, no front suspension collapsing on press rides, body work falling off, or even fires for that matter.
Just an amazing product from its inception.

A baby Zonda would be terrific! They need to expand (just like Lamorghini did)
