Although there are reports the return of the Fisker Karma luxury sedan has been pushed back to 2016 by new owner Wanxiang, a teaser on the new website (www.thenewfisker.com) established for the revived version of Fisker Automotive suggests that the Karma will be making its comeback as early as this month.

The teaser depicts Wanxiang’s version of the Karma, along with the words “It’s On”, “Luxury Energized” and “Energy Optimized”. The teaser also says “Introducing April 2015”.

This suggests that Wanxiang’s Karma will be introduced this month, with some enhancements made to the car’s extended-range electric powertrain.

The chairman and founder of Wanxiang, Lu Guanqiu, is determined to make the Karma a success, and executives at the revived version of Fisker have previously said that mid-2015 was the target date for bringing back the Karma.

It’s possible the car will feature some minor stylistic changes and be sold under the new brand “Elux”. Following the launch of the sedan, the revived Fisker is expected to launch a Karma wagon based on the previous Surf concept car, and eventually a smaller sedan based on the previous Atlantic design prototype.

Hopefully we'll have more details soon.
