Euro NCAP today releases the results for seven cars in five different categories, mostly aimed at consumers with families. The latest tests showed that all of the cars in the line-up received four stars in Child Occupant Protection – currently the maximum safety protection available on the market. The group included the
Audi A4,
Skoda Superb, Citroen Berlingo,
Ford Kuga, the
Volkswagen T5 Caravelle and the
Hyundai i10 and
Seat Ibiza compacts.
Topping the field were the new Seat Ibiza, Skoda Superb,
Audi A4 and Ford Kuga, all of which received five star rating for Adult Occupant Protection.
Unlike the adult and child protection tests, no clear progress was seen in Pedestrian Protection despite new legislation and design rules introduced recently to make cars safer. Only three of the seven cars achieved a three star score in this rating.
The full ratings for all the cars can be seen in more detail at the
Euro NCAP website.

I wont even begin to say that I know anything about seat or skoda, except that skoda is a mockery in WRC. but I must say, they aparently are really good at making cars that have appeal on paper. good specs, good looks, fair prices,.. how do these vehicles fair in quality compared to VW? because I know that VW has some major issues between design and build.
