German tuner Hamann is known for its extensive reworkings of BMW models, as well as other exotica such as the Porsche 911 Turbo and the Ferrari 430. Its latest project is a new-look design for the facelifted BMW 6-series range.

Hamann is offering up two aerodynamic kits, including a basic package and a “Race Edition” package. The basic package includes new aprons for the front and rear, side skirts, and a rear spoiler for the coupe. The Race Edition is a little bit more extreme with new front fenders, wider sills and a more aggressive look usually reserved for touring cars.

Hamann's modifications are purely cosmetic, however. Under the bonnet you can opt for a slight 21hp (15kW) power increase in the 630i, 635d and 650i models, as well as having the option of removing the electronic speed limiter. In the top end 650i model, maximum speed now registers at 270km/h. The extra power is due to a new sport exhaust system with a stainless steel muffler and high-flow catalyst.

Larger tires and custom racing alloys, measuring up to 21in, are also available, in addition to chassis kits, brake upgrades, sports steering wheels and other interior products to customize the car. Other modifications include sport springs, height adjustable coilovers and aluminum trim elements for the cabin.
