Paul Walker and Vin Diesel return for the fourth instalment of the Fast & Furious series and once again play characters caught up in the world of truck hijacking and stolen cars. The third official trailer for the upcoming movie has just been aired as a Super Bowl commercial.

In it, we get a look at some of the new stars of the film, including a Subaru WRX STI, a Chevrolet Nova SS, a couple of Nissan Skylines and even a Buick Grand National. Of course, Paul Walker and Vin Diesel both return for the film as well as a couple of other characters from the first instalment. The movie is set to open across the U.S. on the third of April.

  1. Wow.... I honestly have no words to describe how awful that was...

Original F&F was great... 2F2F was decent... then it all just went downhill... :( shame, was really looking forward to this one but seems there's nothing to look forward to...

  3. @ InkMaster.. What don't you like about it? The action looks good. A lot more big time crime it looks like. What were you expecting from this movie? I think it looks great. Wasn't a fan of eps 2 and 3.

  4. I think first movie was OK at best, but since first movie Walker and Vin became much more recognizible actors. i'll be honest, I got little excited when I saw Vin at the end of Tokio Drift.

These movies are really cheesy, 2nd was utter garbage and the only thing I like about the 3rd is the drifting scene towards the end of movie throught the crowded corner.

Anyway, I think this movie will make a lot now that these guys are much more famous, and I might actually see this one in theater vs DVD.

  6. actually.. that shows more promiss than the last two.....

i'm going to say... they've finally realized that those two guys made the first movie what it was.

side bar.. a sign of the times... intead of stealing electronics.. they're stealing gas. I LOVE IT! it's like all the sci fi movies in the 50's involved radiation..

  8. These movies are silly, escapist trash.
That said, I'll make sure to rent it just to see more of Jordana Brewster... :)

  9. Bobby, I'm with you on this one...although I must add that the opening scene in 2F2F with the Skyline GTR is prolly the best scene to date! Too bad the GTR wasn't used throughout the whole movie.

  12. All 3 of these movies have been terrible, and the car action is corny at best. And yet there's still something so entertaining about them....

    Is there a release date?

  13. Some of you are probably going to stop visiting MotorAuthority after I write this, but I actually enjoyed the first flick. As an action movie it was pretty good, and if you were able to ignore the horrible technical realism of it, you would have enjoyed it more. The second and third were pure trash (though with some very pretty ladies) and that's why I'm hesitant about this one.

  14. Another teenybopper movie. Be very careful and watch out for the dumbass kids trying to act out the movie in the parking lot.

If this was a real movie about cars, the GTR clean out all the others.

  15. Right ADMIN.....GTFO.... :~

    Nah just kidding..... :)
it looks ....ok....same old popcorn stuff....the first was fun because it was a car chase film for the x generation. Other than that is was standard fair. I will watch this because im curious and not for any other reason. Hopefully the cars look good. and the women better...thats why i want to view it ! :)

  19. The only reason I ever watched a single one of these movies was for the race scenes. That's also why I was interested in watching this one . . . right up to the point where I heard Soulja Boy start playing. If I don't watch this movie that will be the reason.

  20. aaaaaaand insightful admin nails it

    its an action flick.

you dont think john maclean can actually take out a tower of trained mercenaries while walking around with bloodied bare feet do you?

action movies are to film as the big mac is to fine dining. quick, cheap, entirely bad for you, completely fake, but oh so satisfying.

  21. "including a Subaru WRX STI, a Chevrolet Nova SS, a couple of Nissan Skylines and even a Buick Grand National." After all of this discussion no one missed this? The Chevrolet Nova SS is actually a Chevrolet Chevelle SS. In fact it's the car that Vin is sitting on in the preview picture above.

Cool scene with the GNX/oil tanker. I found it odd that the GNX is automatic, yet when they show the pedals it's an manual.

Regardless it will be an action flick this summer with cars and explosions and chicks. 'Nuff said!
