Talk about night and day. Watching the HBO shows Entourage and Hung the other evening was akin to watching Alice in Wonderland versus Rocky I when it comes to energy, attitude and, without question, stuff including cars.
In Entourage, I was impressed by the 2009 (I believe) Escalade Hybrid and I remain blown away by E's latest, the Aston Martin (DB9). Of course, it doesn't hurt to see Sloan in that car with E as their on-again, off-again machinations continue. As he bolted from his new home at the end of this episode to return a friend's bracelet (at 3am of course), you could almost "hear" the power of the car's 6.0-litre v12.
Now, stepping away from Hollywood escapism and into Detroit realities (and what certainly feels like a more realistic reflection of 2009 America) we see our Hung hero tooling around in what has to be a mid-90s Jeep Cherokee (definitely not an Eddie Bauer/Laura Ashley/etc model version of this one). A perfectly "cast" car for a grittier (thought still fun) take on things these days.
