I came across this 1999 Saleen Mustang up for auction on Ebay which was used in the making of 2 Fast 2 Furious and I must say it's pretty much a pile of junk but as most of you know one mans junk is another mans treasure.  This Saleen might actually turn out to be a treasure as the history behind this Saleen Mustang is quite interesting.  According to the auction description this Saleen Mustang is #005 for 1999 and it started out life as a research and development car for Saleen.  From 1999 till the movie was made around 2002-03 this Mustang was a Saleen Extreme with original Yellow paint.  When the car was commissioned for the movie 2 Fast 2 Furious Saleen painted it Lizstick red and yanked out the engine and six-speed trans.  The Mustang is fitted with a roll cage, mounting hardware and various other parts from the filming of the movie.  This is definitely a rare Saleen Mustang with some history and would make a great project for any Saleen enthusiast.

As of writing this bidding was up to a measly $710.00 with just under a day left.  Check out the Ebay auction here.
