In my previous post I mentioned the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro beat out the Ford Mustang for June 2009 sales but did you know it was the first time the Camaro had higher monthly sales numbers since 1993.  Yes it's true the 2010 Camaro ended a long run of successful monthly sales wins by the Ford Mustang.  If you remember back in 1993 the Camaro received a new redesign which pumped up sales past the Mustang.  In October of 1993 Chevrolet sold 10,985 Camaros and Ford sold a poultry 5,680 Mustangs.  With this rare occurrence happening there is even another one which Chevrolet could shoot for, outselling the Ford Mustang for the year.  It was done back in 1985 when Chevy sold 199,985 Camaros to Ford's 157,821 Mustangs.  Either way the Camaro is once again back on top for at least a month and maybe a year if they keep selling like hotcakes.

  1. Well, 1 month does not make a year's sales and the Mustang still had more overall sales for the year.
    Oh well, maybe next year...
