Chrysler has released U.S. sales figures for April of 2009 which show a 48% decrease in sales versus the same period of 2008. Of the few highlights for
Chrysler's April sales the
Dodge Challenger was among them increasing their sales by 260 units. I know the figure does not seem like much but it's something to build on as Chrysler goes into bankruptcy protection.
Sales of Dodge Challengers for April of 2009 were 2,619 compared to 2,359 from the previous month showing an 11% increase for month to month sales. Dodge did not sell any Challengers in April of 2008 so we have no data to do a current year to previous year comparison. March of 2008 was the first month Dodge started delivery Challengers to buyers so we will have some data to compare for next months post. Year to date Challenger sales are 11,018.
If you are looking for a complete breakdown of the last 12 months of Challenger sales check out a previous post of mine.
