April 2009 Ford Mustang Sales Figures Released, Up We Go

Ford Motor Company has posted their sales figures for the month of April and to no surprise their year to year sales are down quite substantially but we are not here to dissect every Ford vehicle.  We are concerned about one vehicle and one vehicle only, the Ford Mustang, which posted an increase of 48% from the previous month (March).  We knew Mustang sales were going to turn around at some point and how about a refreshed 2010 Mustang to help out.  As 2010 Ford Mustangs make their way to dealerships across the country and into buyers hands expect the uptick in sales to continue.  How long will this rally continue, we don't know but we like the direction it's headed.

Sales of Ford Mustangs for April of 2009 were 7,699 compared to 10,050 from April of 2008 showing a 23.4% decrease in sales from the previous year. Year to date Mustang sales are 17,344 compared to 34,527 for 2008, which is a 49.8% drop.

The good news, March 2009 sales were  3,711 compared to April 2009 sales of 7,699 which is a 48% increase for month to month sales.

If you are curious what previous month sales were check out March 2009, February 2009, January 2009, December 2008, November 2008 , October 2008 , September 2008 , August 2008 , July 2008June 2008 , May 2008 , April 2008 , March 2008 , February 2008 sales figures.
