In what might be one of the coolest police cars ever, the Edmonton Police Department unveiled a 2009 Dodge Challenger Police car complete with a roll cage with swing out bars, flashing lights and three-tone paint job. The Challenger will become a member of the EPS street legal team to help educate drivers about the dangers of illegal street racing and to promote healthy competition at legal racing venues. The Challenger police car will be shown at the 2009 Edmonton Motor Show

"We needed to bring today's muscle car into the program," says EPS Detective Terry Innis. "The Dodge Challenger is the pinnacle of today's muscle car."
