Prototypes for the Ford Motor Company’s [NYSE:F] new GT supercar are currently out testing at secret locations all across the globe, but the original concept version first shown at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show is also out making its presence felt. The concept was recently out at a Ford event held at Spain’s Circuito del Jarama, where it experienced a little trouble firing up its twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6.

These videos from Periodismo del Motor (via World Car Fans) show the concept and a Ford crewmember repeatedly attempting to start it. We're told that after about 20 minutes the engine roared to life and the concept could be packed away in a trailer and on its way to stun onlookers at its next public outing.
The new GT, which in race car form will enter the World Endurance Championship and thus run in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will cost around $400,000 when it’s launched on the market late in 2016. We’re glad to report that the production version will appear almost identical to the concept, and we hear that it will pack “more than” 600 horsepower, thus making it one of the most potent cars we're ever likely to see with a Blue Oval slapped on it.
