What do you want first, the bad news or the really bad news. Well I will start with the bad news and ease you into the really bad stuff. April to May sales of this year only dipped 4% and I am a little surprised it's not double digits with the looming recession and gas prices rising almost daily. Now for the really bad news, sales of the Mustang a year ago were 17,478 and in May they were 9,633. Check out all the numbers below.
Sales of Mustangs for May of 2008 were 9,633 compared to 17,478 from May of 2007 showing a 44.9% drop in sales from the previous year. Year to date sales for 2008 Mustangs are 44,160 compared to 64,560 for the first five months of 2007, which is a 31.6% drop.
If you are curious what the previous month sales were than check out
January ,
February ,
March and
April sales figures.
