Shelby GT-H Rental Stolen, Renter Arrested For Not Returning It

You may have to take this news story at face value because it's from a forum post on LS1.com and then reposted over at Stangnet.  Supposedly a forum member on ls1 lives a few houses down from a guy who had in his possesion a Shelby GT-H for about a six-month period of time.  All the time thinking the guy really owned the Shelby GT-H the ls1 forum member didn't think to much about it as GT-H's were auctioned off to dealers across the country.  The story then takes a comical turn as he sees his neighbor getting arrested and thrown into the back of a police car along with the Shelby GT-H being towed away.  He then precedes to talk to the cops and get the full story about how his neighbor rented the Shelby GT-H and failed to return it to Hertz thus making it a stolen vehicle.  What I can't believe is this went on for a six-month period of time before the Police or Hertz caught on or figured out what happend to the car.  I am not sure who is dumber the guy who stole the Shelby GT-H, the Police or Hertz.
