Newport Convertible Engineering fills the void left by Dodge with their custom Challenger convertible being shown at this years SEMA show. The
Newport Challenger convertible will be available to be ordered through dealers nationwide with the build taking four to six weeks to complete. To maintain the stiffness in the chasiss, Newport will add about 80 pounds of reinforcement to the roof pillar supports, trunk, rear seat area and undercarriage. Dealer cost for this Challenger convertible is $14,500 so expect the retail price to be much higher. This convertible can be seen at Newport's booth at SEMA in the North Hall, #11627.
This will be the second Challenger convertible making it's debut at SEMA with the other being done by
Coach Builders Ltd, well three if you count the
topless SRT8 Roadster.
