It's been a long road for the Dodge Challenger concept from it's early days as just a sketch on paper to it's debut in February at the Chicago auto show as a full fledged production vehicle. The concept Started back in 2004 when Chrysler put together a group designers including Michael Castiglione and Alan Barrington to come up with a muscle car design on the LX platform.

The designers Michael Castiglione and Alan Barrington of the Pacifica studio gave interviews in a three part series talking about how the concept came about to what you will see in February of 2008 at the Chicago auto show. Part 2 and Part 3 are after the jump. Enjoy...

Hey guys Thanks for having some vision on what cars should be. What a great thing for mopar. It is so nice to see some one fianally got it right. The both of you should take a bow. It must be exciting to have such a great job. I have a 70 rt/se challenger when I saw your challenger It made me stop dead in my tracks. And all I can Say is THANKYOU.
Will be buying one, at least. i NEED A SUBLIME ONE SO i CAN GET PICTURES WITH BOTH.
