At the Detroit Autorama this past weekend
Dodge brought another Super Stock
Dodge Challenger to the show and this one is painted in matte black to give it a sinister look and feel. Just like the previous
Super Stock which was unveiled at the
SEMA show back in November this Super Stock comes with a 6.4 liter fule-injected Hemi utilizing 10.5:1 compression, twin plug cylinder heads, forged pistons, a forged crankshaft and forged connecting rods to produce 525 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. This Super Stock has a live axle and leaf springs if you can believe that but don't fret because the production Dodge Challenger will have independent rear suspension. For us regular slobs, fall of '08 will bring the '09 models. Make mine an R/T with the 5.7, a manual, and in a tasty Plum Crazy. As long as there's no markup above MSRP and the price stays in the mid-30s, I'm ready to write the check.
