Mexico's Mastretta MXT to debut at London Motor Show

Mexican sports car manufacturer Mastretta will debut its MXT sports car at next week’s London Motor Show before the car first goes on sale next May with an expected price tag of £32,999 (approximately $66,010).

The lightweight two-seater weighs just 900kg and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 150mph. It features a supercharged 2.0L Duratec engine developing 240hp (180kW) and 184lb-ft (250Nm) of torque, which is enough to accelerate it from 0-60mph in less than five seconds. Drive is sent to the rear wheels a five-speed manual transmission.

To keep weight down engineers used a bonded aluminum semi-monocoque chassis and a custom double wishbone suspension set-up front and rear. The brake package consists of 293mm ventilated discs with ABS.

More than 80 cars have been reserved for the UK market. Other markets are yet to be announced.

wow.. tht is one hot looking car..

240 hp out of the 20 duratec is pretty impressive too. If that's naturally aspirated, then WOW. does the car have a custom 5 speed or something more typical of the ford brand?

nevermind.. i just saw the supercharged... still.. VERY cool.......

and aparently.. (you can tell from the shape of the car too) it's mid rear engine as well... very nice...

I know I'd much rather own this than an elise for example... jsut on styling alone.

    Interior shots?
