The styling of the concept’s front-end is a clear giveaway as to the final design of the next-generation E-Class due next year. That the ConceptFASCINATION, as it is officially named, also closely resembles a possible CLK coupe is obvious. It is even remarkably similar to our preview of the rumored CLK shooting brake from all the way back in April of this year.
The quad-headlight design remains, but instead of the current CLK’s rounded look, they are now sharp-edged parallelograms. Show-car touches include fiber optic accents, but are more likely to be replaced by LEDs in the production model.
The show car also features a long, frameless, side-window line which creates a continuous arc from front to rear, uninterrupted by a B-pillar. The side windows can also be lowered completely, providing an uninterrupted view into the cockpit.
Sitting under its contoured hood is a new four-cylinder diesel engine with both BlueTEC and AdBlue technology, capable of developing up to 204hp (150kW) from its 2.2L displacement.

At first I thought it was the most attractive wagon MB had ever done.
Then I thought the dimensions weren't quite right and figured it was the photo that made it look weird.
Then I realized it had no rear doors and that this was a... what the hell is it?!
And finally I felt dismayed knowing that MB has, once again, answered a question no one asked and will likely bring another monstrosity like the CLS to the market and that sooner or later other manufacturers will follow down the same stupid path.

True enough, but more because of the 50 models they are trying to sell, rather than concentrating on 6 or so great cars like they did in the 70's, 80's and 90's...

I really like this design from the A pillar back, but the whole front - the headlights and the grill - just seem really messy and disjointed. But overall, this looks very promising.

LIke other people have said, there is something wierd about the b-pillar. The whole window area is messed up. The door and glass should be slightly longer and there shouldn't be 3 sections of glass. Just like on a normal coupe but just with a larger rear side window.

Wow Hector, keeping the negative streak alive I see. Anyways, I love it and the deisel engine, bring it to America and scale the logo down, and it is perfect.
