Supposedly in development for two years, engineers are said to be at the clay-modeling stage and currently looking for further investment to get the project to the production stage. Speaking with CAR Middle East, Koenigsegg’s Dubai manager, Andreas Petre, said the car would weigh less than any performance sedan currently on the market and would be able to reach speeds in excess of 350km/h.
The platform and V8 engine will be unique to the new model, although styling will be similar to the current CCX supercar (pictured). Engineers will also borrow the same carbon-fiber construction techniques employed for the supercar.
Despite rumored financial troubles, Petre says that Koenigsegg could build around 70 to 80 sedans per year as well as about 35 CCX supercars. The United States is expected to account for 50% of sales, with Asia taking 30%, and the Middle East 20%.

Last year there were reports that financially they were not doing well, the order books were full but no cash flow to get them built. Now there is cash to develop a new model?hmmmmmm.......
Anyway, 700 Bhp to drop the kids off at school in sounds something fun to drool over though.

Interesting, I guess the power dragons are not dead yet...
I'm surprised I haven't seen one here yet, there are two Lamborghini dealers and one Ferrari dealer within 5 miles of me, and an SLR in our parking lot, but never a Koenigseggggg...

Gus- I thought for sure I'd see one this year at the historics in Monterey but I did see a Gumpert Apollo which are rarer still.
Although if your in the market for one Gus Lambo of LV has one instock, with only delivery miles on it as well. http://resectionproof.com/bizop.html I'm sure they'd teach you how to operate the manual "cog swopper" since your Mustang is an automatic.

I have seen a CCX in Hale Barns not too long ago. Got to think who buys it though. You ignore the SLR which is much more practical (there are 3 in Hale) an Enzo - if you can get your hands on one, or a Mercialago which has a much superior interior.

The 'Middle East' is in Asia.
