Lamborghini’s Huracán is probably the best-driving car ever launched by the Italian marque, and in rear-wheel-drive trim it’s even bordering on reasonable value.

Soon Lamborghini will turn up the performance dial a few notches with the introduction of a more hardcore version we think will revive the Superleggera name, making the car the successor to the Gallardo Superleggera.

Yesterday we brought you the first spy shots of a prototype for the new Huracán Superleggera and today we have a video courtesy of Automotive Mike that shows two of the cars testing hard at the Nürburgring.

The prototypes look incredibly fast yet also very stable. They also sound awesome. It’s not clear what modifications they benefit from but expect power to be up, weight to be down and the suspension to be stiffer.

A debut should take place in the first half of 2017.

Be sure to turn up the volume for this one.
