Subaru's revised 2017 BRZ will sticker from $26,315 when it hits dealers soon, a modest $125 increase over last year for the entry-level Premium trim level.

That figure is for a model with a 6-speed manual transmission. From there, the lineup climbs to $28,465 for a Limited with the manual, $29,565 for a Limited with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, and it tops out at $30,515 for the new, limited edition Series.Yellow.

Those base price figures include a mandatory $820 destination charge.

Only one option package is offered on any BRZ, the $1,195 Performance Package relegated only to the manual Limited. Opting for the Performance Package adds Brembo brakes, Sachs shock absorbers, and unique black-finish alloy wheels.

That minor increase over last year's price brings with it a number of suspension and steering updates designed to improve the 2-door coupe's handling, while the stability control's Sport mode has been revised and renamed Track to allow for a higher threshold before the electronic nannies step in. A few engine modifications see power climb to 205 horsepower and 156 pound-feet of torque, 5 ponies and 5 pound-feet higher than before.

Additionally, the BRZ sees a few minor styling updates inside and out, including a new steering wheel with integrated cruise control, audio, and Bluetooth controls.

The new Series.Yellow, meanwhile, will hit dealers in January and, not surprisingly, adds a host of yellow styling updates inside and out.

Toyota has not yet announced pricing for its 2017 86, the renamed Scion FR-S that is a BRZ twin.
