During last month’s announcement of its new Genesis luxury brand, Hyundai confirmed the brand would have a six-car lineup by 2020. The first of the new Genesis models was revealed yesterday in the form of the G90 flagship sedan.

We’ve already speculated on what the other five models might be and now Hyundai has confirmed their identities. First noticed by Jalopnik, Hyundai confirmed via its Korean website that the other Genesis models will include two sedans, two SUVs and a sporty coupe.

We already know that the two sedans will consist of the current Hyundai Genesis, which will be renamed a Genesis G80 when it undergoes an update next year, as well as a small sedan to take on the likes of the BMW 3-Series and Lexus IS. The sporty coupe, meanwhile, will be a replacement for the current Hyundai Genesis Coupe.

The Korean website describes the two SUVs as mid-sized and large, respectively. However, the site also describes the Hyundai Genesis as a large car, whereas it’s referred to as a mid-size car here in the United States. That means you can bet the two SUVs will be a small model rivaling the likes of the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC and a mid-size model most likely offering third-row seats that can compete with the likes of the BMW X5 and Volvo XC90.

We're expecting to see the G80 and Genesis Coupe replacement first, with the small sedan, small SUV and mid-size SUV to follow in quick succession.
