Lexus has confirmed plans to debut a new vehicle at next week’s 2016 Detroit Auto Show. Unfortunately, there’s not much else in the way of official details but a teaser image of some burnt rubber on the Lexus website suggests we’ll see a sporty car unveiled.
Lexus has two major products in the pipeline. One is the long overdue replacement for the LS, which we were given a preview of in the form of the LF-FC concept at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.
The other car Lexus has in the works—that we know about—is a production version of 2012’s LF-LC concept. The car, rumored to be called the LC, has been spied in prototype form and from what we can gather looks very much like the striking concept version.
Given the sporty theme of the teaser, we’d bet on the car being the production version of the LF-LC as opposed to the new LS. Of course, we may see something entirely different. Perhaps a new IS F?
