Volkswagen loves its vans, at least in places that aren't the United States. To that end, VW has pulled the wraps off a new concept version of its Transporter van at this week's 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show. It's called the Multivan PanAmericana concept, and if you like to bring your two-wheeled vehicle along on your four-wheeled adventures then you should probably start drooling.

The PanAmericana takes the Transporter and then jacks it up so it can head away from the beaten path. Under the skin sits VW's 4Motion all-wheel-drive system, and there's a mechanical rear differential attached to the back axle. Open the hood and you'll find the familiar EA288 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine, and it's been paired by the equally familiar seven-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox.

It's the rear compartment that motorcycle and dirt bike fans will really like, however, as this space is designed around bringing your two-wheel friend on your next adventure. The PanAmericana features an electric load ramp and internal mounting hooks to secure the precious cargo.

We've been hearing rumors that a new VW Bus is on its way into production for the first time in a number of years. That's great and we'd love to see it, but we also want this concept to be put into production and then brought our way. Your sales in Southern California alone would justify the move, as long as it's not priced into the stratosphere.
