Recently, CEO and founder Christian von Koenigsegg revealed the inspiration behind the Swedish supercar marque and how he actually went about raising funds to start it. The big news this week were the multiple claims that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles [NYSE:FCAU] confirmed a new Barracuda at a recent dealer meeting. The only problem is that without the Plymouth brand around, FCA is said to have decided to sell the new ‘Cuda as a Dodge. We’re sure that won’t sit well with loyalists, but we’re still happy a new Barracuda will soon be born.

Before the Bugatti brand was snapped up by the Volkswagen Group in 1998, it was owned by Italian businessman Romano Artioli who had revived it in 1987 after it had been dormant since the 1950s. In 1991, Artioli launched the Bugatti EB110, a quad-turbocharged, all-wheel-drive, carbon fiber supercar that laid the groundwork for the modern-day Veyron.

A prototype for the facelifted Porsche 911 was spotted this week, and it was wearing virtually zero camouflage gear. We’re expecting the updated 911 range to debut in mid-September at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show.
