Koenigsegg’s first car, the CC8S, was launched in 2002 but the company’s story goes back much further than that. Recently, CEO and founder Christian von Koenigsegg revealed the inspiration behind the Swedish supercar marque and how he actually went about raising funds to start it. Incredibly, even he thought it was a stupid idea.
81-mile 1970 Hemi Cuda
The big news this week were the multiple claims that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles [NYSE:FCAU] confirmed a new Barracuda at a recent dealer meeting. The only problem is that without the Plymouth brand around, FCA is said to have decided to sell the new ‘Cuda as a Dodge. We’re sure that won’t sit well with loyalists, but we’re still happy a new Barracuda will soon be born.

Before the Bugatti brand was snapped up by the Volkswagen Group in 1998, it was owned by Italian businessman Romano Artioli who had revived it in 1987 after it had been dormant since the 1950s. In 1991, Artioli launched the Bugatti EB110, a quad-turbocharged, all-wheel-drive, carbon fiber supercar that laid the groundwork for the modern-day Veyron.
Oshkosh Defense JLTV
The legendary Humvee has been with us since 1984, but it’s on its way out. Its successor was revealed this week in the form of the JLTV from Oshkosh Defense.
2016 BMW 7-Series
We drove the all-new BMW 7-Series this week. We found it to be fast, roomy, comfortable, packed with technology, and—most importantly—an excellent competitor for the stately Mercedes-Benz S-Class. It also looks much better in person than in the photos.
Icona Vulcano Titanium
Design house Icona unveiled a second version of its Vulcano supercar first shown in 2013. While the car hasn't become a production reality yet, the latest version, called the Vulcano Titanium, was shown at the recent Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and we have a full gallery of photos.

A prototype for the facelifted Porsche 911 was spotted this week, and it was wearing virtually zero camouflage gear. We’re expecting the updated 911 range to debut in mid-September at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show.
