We saw it at the initial private reveal in Milan back in June, and we’ve since seen it in some official promo videos. But now for the first time we have a taste of what Alfa Romeo’s new Giulia will look like when it’s in customer hands and cruising around local streets. YouTube user ResQ166 has video of two examples taking part in what appears to be an official photo shoot.

The red example is stationary but the white one is seen exiting a driveway and doing a little driving. From the video, it’s clear the car sits low to the ground and is very aggressive looking. This makes sense as versions of the car seen so far are high-performance Quadrifoglio models.

The Quadrifoglio is the version designed to take on the likes of the BMW M3, Cadillac ATS-V and Mercedes-AMG C63, and this is the version that will be available at launch. The car is set to go on sale in Europe later this year, with a U.S. launch likely to take place sometime in the first half of 2016.

The Giulia Quadrifoglio will pack a Ferrari-derived, 510-horsepower V-6, dual-clutch transmission and lightweight materials such as aluminum and even some carbon fiber. It will accelerate from 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds, and to bring it back down to rest there will be carbon-ceramic brakes offered.

No word yet on what Alfa has in store for regular versions of the Giulia but no doubt we’ll have more details following the public unveiling at next month’s Frankfurt Auto Show. For more from the German show, head to our dedicated hub.
