Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, the fledgling race team and supercar manufacturer formed by American car collector James Glickenhaus, stunned the world at the 2015 Geneva auto show with the unveiling of the SCG003 supercar.

The SCG003 is a race car for the road in the truest sense, in that it can swap between race and road car with only a few tools and basic mechanical skills. The race car has been designed for GT3 regulations and even seen some action, primarily in Germany’s VLN series which includes the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

Glickenhaus and his team at SCG are working to get the road car legal in the United States, choosing to distribute it as a kit car in order to avoid costly airbag and crash-test requirements.

You can already take delivery of the SCG003 if your only plan is to race it, and there’s a company by the name of Traum Motorsport that’s running a customer racing program around the SCG003. The program includes races in sanctioned events such as the aforementioned VLN as well as the 24H series and a few others.

As stated on its website, Traum Motorsport’s services are broken down into four main areas: Pre-Race Services, Race services, Technical Support and Hospitality. The company can handle everything from registration and insurance to vehicle transport, driver management, fuel and tire supply, provision of a race crew, mechanical support and even telemetry and data analysis. In other words, the services on offer come close to matching full factory support.

Everything can be tailored to suit your needs, so pricing will vary. However, since this is motorsport we’re talking about, it goes without saying that Traum Motorsport’s services won’t be cheap. Nevertheless, if your pockets are deep enough and you’ve always had the urge to take part in motorsport, this is a rare opportunity to fast track that dream.
