The all-new, sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro is so close we can almost smell its fumes. Just days after a teaser shot was presented at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show and a photo turned up depicting what’s purported to be the car’s headlight, we now have a new photo showing one of the car’s body dies.

This particular die would be used to stamp the driver’s side body panel and gives us a clear look at the shape of the new Camaro’s roof, its side window, rear fender and a partial wheel arch. The photo was posted on Camaro6, which points out that the rear section of the roof tapers downwards more than on the current model and the shoulder haunch is wider. Such a design links up with what we see in the official teaser as well as our own spy shots.

The new Camaro is expected to debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show in April before going on sale in the fall, as a 2016 model. It’s based on the Alpha platform found in other General Motors Company [NYSE:GM] products such as the Cadillac ATS and CTS and promises to be both lighter and stiffer than the current model.

As for powertrains, look forward to a new four-cylinder model rivaling the Ford Motor Company’s [NYSE:F] Mustang EcoBoost. The four-banger will likely be a version of the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 272 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque in the Cadillac ATS and CTS. Of course, V-6 and V-8 engines should still be offered in the new Camaro. The latter is expected to based on GM’s Gen V small-block shared with the Corvette.
